LOAD BREAK SWITCH
The switch-disconnectors covered by this list are designed for the following applications: Ring main units, trans-farmers (in connection with HRC fuses for short circuit protection) or in place of busbar disconnectors in substations.
The switch-disconnectors are in accordance with the IEC regulations 265 and if applicable 420.

The switch-disconnectors are designed in the modular system. The basic is the standard three pole disconnector type DTP (see our catalogue H.1.1 ).
The non-loop current paths of the switch-disconnectors consist of double knife contacts, main contacts and termi-nal contacts made from electrolytic copper.
Contact-making is effected on main contacts and on turning points of the doub knife contacts via distinct line-shape contact faces. Amply dimensioned pre sure-spring assemblies und current path which have large cross sections guarante that even after many years of operating the rated current there will be no occu rence of fatique. In spite of the specific big contact pressure due to the strong helic springs the switch-disconnectors are easy to operate.
